What To Expect During an Inspection
A typical home inspection should be completed in 2 to 3 hours. A home inspection is a visual inspection of the structure and components of a home to find items that are not performing correctly or items that are unsafe.
If a problem or symptom of a problem is found, the home inspection will include a description of the problem in a written report and may require further evaluation. The time of year and weather conditions may affect some of the items inspected. If this is the case, the inspector will advise the client of any concerns due to these conditions. Clients are encouraged to attend the inspection with our inspectors. After the inspection, an additional 1 to 2 hours will be spent in preparing your written report.
AMCHECK uses HomeGauge, a computerized report system which allows us to customize each section of your report including color pictures. With a password you and your real estate agent can view your report over the internet.
